Cast: Irrfan Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Kangna Ranaut
The concept is an obvious copy of Hollywood film Phone Booth. Knock Out then hopes the patriots in us will ring out loud. Unfortunately, we’d rather have missed this call.
An investment banker played by Irrfan Khan enters a swanky phone booth in the city of Mumbai to make a fishy call. Of course, it is an absolute suspension of belief. A bullet-proof glass phone booth with magazines and newspapers galore, equipped with first aid and enough to house a family would be a cherished gem in our city. However, only officer Sanjay Dutt has the luck to call it and journalist Kangna Ranaut the privilege of being the first one to break this news on tv.
Unintentionally funny, the supposed thriller turns into a spoof. The actors don’t look like the characters they’re supposed to play and are like crank callers you want to hang up on. The dialogue is as random as a wrong number. Knock it off.
