Unlike most management studies’ graduates, Shreya Shanbhag spent time after graduation coming up with a plan. The result is ‘toteally shoppers’. She’s saving the environment trouble by producing really cool cloth bags.

These are great! I love taking an oversized tote with me when I go shopping–it’s so much nicer than carrying a bunch of bags from different stores with me all day. I have a few plain totes and personalize them by tying a bright scarf around one of the handles–it instantly brightens up even the most boring bag.
They are so great! I agree about the shopping thing.

I’ve started carrying a nice white tote to office – one my brother got me from Munich. It has a brilliant colourful illustration of the must-visits in Munich. How do I tag it? I don’t! But I hope this works – inside the tote, I have a nice bag organiser made by Beverly Pereira who runs a venture called Bag in a Bag. The organiser (gifted to me by a friend
) is a boon for people like me who can NEVER find a ringing phone in their bag, thanks to millions of other things in there. And before this tote, I had another nice white cotton one handpainted by mentally-handicapped adults. My bags have turned out to be so unique I’ve never needed to accessorise them to make them different. Plus, you know me. I don’t like add-ons, anyway 
The tote from Munich sounds really interesting! You could simply tie a ribbon to it if you’d like to tag it.
I’ve wanted the bag in a bag for a while, you know. Just haven’t found it. It’s really very sweet of you to sport these unique totes. You’re helping someone out while carrying your burden. 
This is the one I carried today…a chocolate brown pleather tote with a cream and blue flower scarf. I have a hot pink scarf that I sometimes pair with it as well–it really pops against the brown. Wish I could find that scarf so I could do a pic of that one too!

Until the age of 16, I was unknown to the joys of a tote bag. I had always liked those Jansport haversacks. They were comfortable and I was able to fit my world in it. But when a tote from Goa happened as a birthday present, I was quickly transformed into a tote-carrying type. I have at least 10 different kinds of totes (massive ones, tiny ones, organic ones, leather ones, demin ones and my fav Cotton World ones). The best one is this black canvas tote that my best friend gave me. It has a pink rexin handle and a crazy psychedelic print on the front. She picked it from a beach market in London. Even though it is a pretty normal tote, I use it to pin up all my bag badges. I am a sucker for bag badges. This one has two from USA, one from Israel, two that say I love Paris, one with a cuckoo clock, one with a dalamation dog and I could go on… Since it has so much happening, I tag it with all my muted tops to brighten up the look. Works well as a casual bag on days when I don’t feel like dressing up (almost every day). A total arm candy!

Totes for me were totally uncool and not so happening earlier. But this thought prevailed only for a while, unless I got my first tote from Marks&Spencer
. The best part is that it is made of organic cotton, ecological 
. It has a very gorgeous woman’s face on the front. The normal beige boring color. To make it a distinct one, I’ve added glits and glams to it with my glitter spray. A glossy animal print scarf on the handles and big bold flowery barrate on the front. It is used by me when I go shopping. I use it to carry my books as well. Mom likes to take it to the grocery shop too 
. I was always against totes unless I bought one. Totes, especially the recyclable ones are the coolest

These totes sound awesome! I am a cloth bag junkie, in fact I once did a post on my blog to show off my totes! And believe it or not, I tag my totes with pinback buttons. I have a box with six or seven pinbacks & am always collecting more. In fact, I am always on the lookout for more. The other day I saw a bag at the Pepe Jeans store. The bag was so-so but the fact that it had three teensy pinbacks really attracted me to it. I didn’t buy it though, it seemed silly to buy the bag for the buttons

i tag my bag with a whole lot of skoobies my son made me! unique. im the only one with a big bunch of them on my bag!!!
That’s so sweet. My younger sister told me what skoobies were. How old is your son?
i personalise my tote with colourful safety-pins by bunching up the corners of my bag with the safety-pins, which i paint myself, so i can keep changing the colours of the pins to match my outfits
That is such a unique way of tagging your tote. I really like those big safety pins.
