I recently found out about GlossyBox and I have to admit, I’m very intrigued. It is a luxury service that aims to replace our rushed and crowded experiences at beauty stores. For as little a subscription fee as Rs 700 every month, GlossyBox delivers a package containing 5 high-end beauty products to our doorstep. The products would be tailored to our needs as we would have filled out a beauty profile. Once we have tried out the products, we can provide feedback to GlossyBox and receive GlossyDots and other advantages. Doesn’t it sound amazing?

From my last post, you already know I love receiving packages with a surprise element. While I can’t wait to receive a GlossyBox, I’m pretty sure you’re hoping one could be yours too. Of course, the best way to make that happen is to have a contest.

Share your “best kept beauty secret” with me in the comments section below. Additionally, like my facebook page and/or follow me on twitter. The most interesting answer wins. Write soon. The contest closes on 29th February 2012.

GlossyBox also has a fascinating blog and interactive facebook and twitter pages. Check them out. :)

  1. How to DIY a Face Mask: For oily skin, mix 1 tablespoons of sandalwood powder (at organic markets or online) with a pinch of turmeric and a few tablespoons of orange juice. Apply it to face and neck, let it dry and rinse with cool water. For normal skin, use rosewater, not juice. READ it on the net and it really works nice

  2. i think apart from good clothes, make up and all that jazz, a perfect glowing smile… is my beauty secret.. simply smile and see how it works ;)

  3. My best kept beauty secret is baking soda! Keep a box of it in your bathroom and you can use it in many different ways:

    1. You can mix a spoonful with your shampoo and wash your hair with it. It gets rid of product buildup and cleans your hair thoroughly.
    2. You can mix some with your face wash and it acts as a gentle exfoliant.
    3. You can brush your teeth with it, it helps clean and make your teeth whiter.
    4. Mix it with water to make a paste, and use it as a scrub on your elbows, knees, heels.
    5. Scrubbing your nails or toenails with an old toothbrush dipped in baking soda will soften and gently exfoliate cuticles. It also whitens fingernails stained yellow from nail polish.

Best of all, its very cheap and available everywhere!

  4. My Beauty secret is for people who want log eyelashes: Before you sleep dab a cotton bud with castor oil and apply it over your lashes like you apply mascara. In nearly 20 days the lashes will grow almost 30-40%.

  5. I really wish I got some gifts like this too. I heard that Parachute is coming up with a new summer variant. Please review that. I want to try it out. I have been trying Parachute’s advanced body lotion and it has worked well for me.

  6. Hi Alice, I have the same query as Namita. I went through your blog. Great going! I would also like to use this product. Thanks!
