For a student of cinema or a cinephile, these films would definitely top the ‘wish-to-watch-on-the-big-screen’ list. And because you all love the movies as much as I do, you get to accompany me to the screenings with a +1. All you have to do is share your favourite dialogue from the movie you wish to watch in the comments section below, on my Facebook page or at my Twitter. And I’ll get back to you with the deets.

See you at the movies!

Riana (Kareena Kapoor) and Alice have a similar sense of style

Kareena Kapoor in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu

Kareena Kapoor in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu

There’s something about Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu. It looks quirky and fresh. Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor‘s pairing is refreshing. And the styling seems really interesting. The other day, I was watching the song Aahatein from the film as it appeared in my Facebook newsfeed. And what do I notice at 1:01 mins on the video? Kareena Kapoor wearing the cardigan from Promod I had contemplated buying. Remember this? I love spotting style on celluloid! Do you enjoy it as much?

Alice loves the Volkswagen Beetle

@VW

@VW

Browning’s words are so true. I grew up listening to a joke involving a Volkswagen. The punch line was that Volkswagen’s boot was at the front of the car. In my grown up years, I haven’t owned a real Beetle but I bought my sister a toy Barbie one when she was 9. We still have it and every time my nephew comes over, he has to play with it! In the year that went by, gen next Hindi film heroines, namely Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone identified the Beetle as the car for their on-screen characters. You remember the blog I wrote? I haven’t managed to test drive it yet but may be there’s a sign.

Bus kya Jackky Bhagnani?

Jabkky Bhagnani’s film F.A.L.T.U is up for release. I came across the trailer on television and realized it’s been inspired by Hollywood film ‘Accepted’. Irrespective of whether it’s a good adaptation or not, we’re probably going to see him in quirky tees.

I opened the Filmfare to find his interview.

Breakfast from Tiffany’s in a bag?

Last night as I was channel surfing, I came across Breakfast at Tiffany’s on Zee Studio. It’s one of those films you just have to stop and watch, no matter where you’re watching from. I managed to catch the last scene.

The influence of Breakfast at Tiffany’s on popular culture cannot even be measured. One of my favourite television shows, Gossip Girl paid a tribute to it through Blair’s dream.

I love trench-coats. Doesn’t Leighton Meester do a good Audrey Hepburn?
