Inglot Gift Hamper

Inglot Gift Hamper

I can’t say this enough. I love receiving packages. I’m careful with the wrapping but once I’ve moved past that, I tear off the packaging as if my life depended on it. And then I love being surprised by the contents. Since yesterday we celebrated Valentine’s Day in India and some of you in other countries are still celebrating it, I thought I’d share the gift hamper Inglot sent me. Inglot has a presence worldwide but has recently come to India. And they sent me 5 products to try out.

Want a clear glow on your face? Win Maybelline’s BB Cream!

Update: Happy Valentine’s Day! And congratulations Sonali Gandhi, Sonal Ved, Natasha, Sushmita Das, Sonal Aurora, Namrata, Carol, Akshita Jain, Shweta Mayank and Gunjan Batra, you have each won a Maybelline BB cream. :D

Maybelline New York BB Cream

Maybelline New York BB Cream

Personally, I like to keep my make-up to the minimal. On an everyday basis, I wear moisturizer, dab on some loose powder, apply kohl to my eyes and balm to my lips. It’s as hassle free as that. So, I’m thrilled Maybelline New York has introduced India’s first BB cream.

BB Cream

It works pretty much like a tinted moisturizer and provides just the right amount of coverage like a foundation resulting in a very natural, no make-up look.
It even has the benefits of a sun block and moisturizer.
It comes in a compact, travel-friendly squeeze tube that fits right in my make-up pouch.
It’s available in 3 shades – nude, radiant and natural. I’ve picked the nude to go with my skin tone.
And it’s only for Rs 199.

In love.

Before I head out, I want to do this quick post on a dress that has caught my fancy. It was a late January evening. I was leaving for the vine ‘yard sale’ in a couple of days and hadn’t found the dress I was looking for. I wasn’t going without but my determination was withering. I had scouted all the possible malls when Aniruddha suggested we drive past Lokhandwala. Perhaps, some boutique might be open. And Golmaal came to my rescue.

No more manic Mondays. Go phoenix-ing and get yourself a makeover.

So, my friend Kavisha had been telling me to try out the Makeover Mondays at High Street Phoenix. It’s a tricky situation suggesting a makeover to someone. The idea isn’t always well received. The implications far outweigh the intentions. Anyway, I thought I’d pamper myself on Valentine’s Day and off I went. At High Street Phoenix, you have a lot of shopping brands. Just so you don’t drop after you shop, beauty brands participate with some exciting offers. It’s a pretty simple process. On the first Monday of every month, you register yourself at the Makeover Mondays kiosk in the courtyard. In exchange, they give you coupons that you can redeem all through the day. What did I have in store? Continue reading

Little food and lots of love for your valentine

A bunch of women were sitting and talking about how boring it is to be a housewife. Two of these women were a mother-daughter pair. The daughter Bhakti Mehta was a marketing professional whose passion lay in cooking and the mother Amita Mehta really wanted to work.

They decided to take catering orders from family and friends for small-scale functions. However, Bhakti’s closest friend had other plans. Bhakti’s friend was launching a menswear collection and wanted 125 people to be catered to at a media event.

And on 19th April, the Little Food Co. came into being at the Sobo for Menswear launch. LFC (great acronym) is now a full-fledged catering service for house parties. They have a special offer for Valentine’s Day you can’t resist.
